Welcome to the new Graymoor-Devondale website! The City Council and I have been working for some time now to improve the communications between the city government and all the residents. This is an important step, but the task has only begun. As time goes along, both you and we will discover other important improvements that need to be made. That includes this website, the newsletter, and perhaps other forms of social media.
I’m sure you’ll agree with me that our Graymoor-Devondale community is much more than a collection of separate homes. We are bound together in our common goals of having an attractive, safe place to live … a great place to raise our children and enjoy our neighbors. For this, we need good communication tools.
Your city government will do the best we can to keep you informed. With this website and our newsletter, we’ll pass along to you important community information. We also want this to be a two-way street where you can send your ideas and concerns to the city. Please contact us at the city office by this website, phone, or e-mail. We welcome your thoughts for building a better community.
We’re working to serve you … and we’re looking forward to your comments.
Mayor, The City of Graymoor-Devondale
In 1986, the Cities of Graymoor and Devondale were officially merged to become the City of Graymoor-Devondale. During the 1992 session of the Kentucky General Assembly city officials petitioned and were granted a 4th Class City status for the combined cities. This designation enabled the City of Graymoor-Devondale to have a much stronger voice in development and zoning issues within the boundaries of our city.
